The free items to help contestants decorate for the competition are also available this year. The decor pieces are the same ones we’ve been getting for the past few years, but recolored in this year’s black and gold theme colors.

To claim them, go to the MSW contest page, open the Promote Yourself tab (or scroll down to find the Free Items section) and click there. You’ll be taken to the page where you just need to press the Deliver to my Suite button.

This Monday, a little later in the day, we finally got the MSW 2025 competition page up. As teased last week, when we received the “coming soon” warning, it has now officially arrived.

The 16th edition of the competition features black and gold as its main colors, as also announced in the teaser ad and follows the usual phases and prizes:

• Semi-finalists receive 2,000 Stardollars, the Semi-finalist Sash, and the MSW Semi-finalist Achievement.

• Finalists get 1 month of Superstar, 4,000 Stardollars, the Finalist Sash and the MSW Finalist Achievement.

The voting has already started, although for some reason the voting button still shows last year’s colors. Are you competing for the MSW crow this year? Must say that will be my first time trying, not to get the title but to try to get the semi and maybe the final achievements.

On October 4th, Sweden celebrates Cinnamon Bun Day (in Swedish, Kanelbullens dag). It’s a tradition that started in the late 1990s to honor one of the country’s most beloved pastries and it has since become a cozy celebration where people enjoy fresh, sweet and spiced buns with coffee.

To mark the occasion, this Saturday, Stardoll sent players a free Kanelbulle Tray.

Yesterday’s release to close the week was Minimalism, this time bringing decor with a sober-chic-darker tone and adding two new floors to Starplaza. The collection offers sleek and modern pieces, designed mainly for kitchen and bathroom settings, but with some versatile items that can easily be styled in living rooms or other spaces.

On the first floor, we find the bathroom focused pieces, while the second floor features a kitchen setup. As mentioned, both floors include elements that can be mixed and matched in multiple ways, depending on your creativity.

There are also two starcoins items: the Mirror Pillow Puff and the Minimal Circle Painting (which, with a bit of imagination, can even be repurposed as wall tiles).

Overall, this isn’t the most exciting release. It may not be a “wow” collection at first sight, but it does provide solid decor items that work well for mixing and matching with other styles.

What do you think about this new release?

The weekly free gift for Superstar dolls has already been updated and once again it’s an item from a past release. This time it’s from the Voile collection released back in August: the Bangle Cream Purse, which you can claim on the Superstar page. 

I’m glad cause, even if it’s from an older release, I hadn’t bought this bag yet. Still, I think most people who liked it probably already did. Hopefully, they’ll get back to updating the weekly gift with items from the current week’s releases.

This Friday, starting October, we received the monthly windows of Stardoll OotM, this time featuring looks by mitchi_mooka5 and Xia.

For mitchi_mooka5, we have a kinda avant-garde meets edgy vibe with a deconstructed dress and ripped socks. The full look costs 108sc and 91sd. None of the pieces have male versions, and all accessories are available for both suite and beauty parlor.

Meanwhile, Xia’s look brings a chic urban inspired style with strong streetwear-meets-luxury energy. The complete look costs 216sc and 111sd, with two items available in male versions: the jacket (18sd) and the gloves (117sc). The starcoins pieces from this drop are the Silver Tooth Necklace, Brown Leather Gloves and Brown Tights.

On Monday, still in the early preparations for Halloween, we got a new arrival in the Fallen Angel shop. The small collection was added super early in the day to the Plaza, different from this post, which is being written with a bit of delay (sorry lol).

The collection brings some interesting goth fashion pieces. Shoutout to the White Lace Ribbon Dress and the Vivienne Westwood Tartan Bag, which are definitely my favorite items. On the other hand, I wasn’t too excited about the Ribbon Lace Socks. They’re clearly inspired by a pair of socks already available in Fallen Angel, released not too long ago, though I’ll admit the new version looks better in my eyes.

Let’s not forget to mention the very well received starcoins pieces this time: the Studded Spiked Bag, Safety Pin Leather Skirt and Bat Wings Spiked Necklace (available for suite and beauty parlor).

Did anything catch your eye in this release? 

Halloween has arrived early this year on Stardoll as September isn’t even over yet and we already got the first themed release of the season with a brand new Film Theory collection inspired by the Wednesday Netflix series. 

The collection brings clothes and some decor pieces inspired by both seasons of the show. It was first suggested for Callie Con (where it didn’t win, ofc), but then it was brought up again as an option for Halloween and honestly, I think this was a better choice to fit the theme and cover everyone’s suggestions.

In this release, we can see Pals of the characters Enid (Emma Myers), Wednesday (Jenna Ortega, we already had one Pal of hers released before in the Pals store, now only available through the bazaar), Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Rosaline (Lady Gaga, who only made a 5sec cameo in the series). The outfits are based on the mentioned characters as well as Bianca, Agnes, Larissa and Pugsley for the male dolls.

There are three starcoin pieces in the store: the Nude Heels, Enid White Shirt (available for male and female) and the Black Dahlia.

What do you think about this release, it's a yay or nay for your Halloween decor?

This Thursday, the long awaited moment for many players finally arrived: the announcement of MSW 2025. This year’s color combination, chosen through a poll in the Stardoll Royalty club, is black and gold. It won over pastel pink and green, while the third option was brown and turquoise. I was really hoping for pink and green, since it’s such a nice combo and we already had black as one of the colors last year.

Given the timeframe, I’d say voting will probably start next week on Monday, along with the release of the MSW store, the freebies and the reveal of this year’s prizes. Based on a recent post from Ben on Facebook, I assume he’s involved in creating something for this MSW, maybe the prizes or the store. We’ll only know once it’s out, but I really hope it’s the store and that he designed some cool dresses and items.

This week’s Superstar gift has been updated with the Gcds Heart Bag from the Evil Panda collection released at the beginning of the month. Idk why, since usually these are the free SS gift items that were released during the week or in the past week. But I’m not complaining, because I loved this bag and hadn’t bought it yet!

September is almost ending and I only realized it thanks to today’s release, as Celeb Fit always arrives in Plaza on the last Wednesday of the month and for this edition we got outfits worn by Chloë Sevigny, Andrew Garfield and Dakota Johnson.

The looks are based on the following occasions: Chloë Sevigny wearing Saint Laurent at the Venice Film Festival on August 29, Andrew Garfield styled in Dior Men at the Venice Film Festival on August 31 and Dakota Johnson in Gucci at the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women dinner in New York on September 11.

There are 3 Starcoins items in this release: Dakota’s necklace and heels, plus Andrew’s glasses. I really liked that they chose to keep the glasses as a hand accessory, just like in the original outfit picture, instead of making them regular wearable glasses.

Today’s Young Hollywood release, as teased, only contained outfits worn at the 2025 VMAs. 

The store brought three new floors to Starplaza, showcasing looks from celebrities that were highly mentioned in the Royalty club. Not every suggested look was included, but they made sure to feature the most requested ones. We can see outfits inspired by Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Zara Larsson, Tyla, Taylor Momsen and more. There are only two male looks, inspired by Conan and Yungblud, with Conan’s outfit also getting a female version, I must say it looks really cute and is one of my favorites.
