Kicking off the tribute season, this Monday we had the first tribute release of the year, Alaïa, making its second appearance on Stardoll (the first being back in 2021).

The store features three floors filled with pieces from various collections from this year. While I’m not the biggest fan of the brand or the overall aesthetic of the store, I have to admit that some items look really great and quite versatile, I ended up buying more than I expected! Also worth mentioning, the starcoin pieces are a good deal.

The collection is full of transparency, bold silhouettes and designs with strong emphasis on the hips and shoulders. I was especially glad to see they included a good number of accessories, which always adds value to any tribute drop.

Following the selling success of the recent package offers, this tribute also comes with a special deal, if you buy SS or SDs (except for the cheapest pack), you’ll receive a free dress.

Today’s release brought us a brand new Museum Mile collection, and I’m thrilled to say it returned to the store’s artistic roots! This drop showcases a mix of breathtaking paintings, sculptures and couture pieces that can truly be called wearable art.

First off, I really missed this kind of Museum Mile release. The previous tribute style clothing drops didn’t quite match the original concept of the store (with the exception of that stunning Westwood limited collection from a few years ago, that was a masterpiece on its own).

This new release curated by Vulacano includes several iconic artworks, with the famous paintings: The Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel, The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, Ophelia by John Everett Millais and Coin du Bassin aux Nymphéas by Claude Monet. And sculptures like The Abduction of a Sabine Woman by Giambologna, David by Michelangelo, Torso of Aphrodite (based on a work by Kallimachos, represented here through a damaged Roman copy), Seated Buddha from Gandhāra by unknown artisans from the Gandhāra region (present day northern Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan)and the Bust of Nefertiti by Thutmose.

The store also includes some decorative pieces as a Ming Dynasty vase (Jar with Dragon), a Temple of Artemis column, a Roman-style column and an African mask representation. For the fashion side, the release features truly artistic creations, including dresses inspired by designers like Guo Pei, Rokh, Dior, and Schiaparelli. These designs blend seamlessly with the artistic theme and elevate the whole concept of fashion as art.

I must add that this curated collection was worthy of a limited release — it's actually better than most of the limited decor releases we've had over time. I don’t know about you, but I’m loving this return to form. You can see the real life item below:

Which piece (or masterpiece) are you most excited about?

Released this Wednesday, the Celeb Fit collection made its monthly appearance. This time around, the featured celebrities are: Coco Gauff, Doechii and Dakota Jhonson.

We started the week off with a super fun and colorful Sunny Bunny release past Monday! This new drop brought two full floors of colorful kawaii pieces, everything you'd expect from the Sunny Bunny brand.

Last Friday (20/06) we got a new Villa collection.

The update brought two floors filled with cozy, colorful and elegant decorr, perfectly channeling a boho-chic countryside vibe, or what a call cute grandma decor. The collection have lots of textures and embroidery in a colorful palette.

My personal favorite items are the Embroidered Foral Pouf, the Old Spring Painting and the Flower Handpainted Drawers, but I can’t forget the great starcoin pieces that are available, they're the Stained Glass Chandelier, Rope Hammock Swing and Floral Vases Set are all lovely additions. I’ve already bought them and hope to use them soon in a new decor.

Midsommar is one of Sweden’s most important holidays, celebrated around the summer solstice, usually between June 19th and 25th. It marks the longest day of the year and the official start of summer.

Swedes celebrate by gathering with friends and family to enjoy outdoor feasts, dance around the maypole, wear flower crowns, and sing traditional songs. The traditional meal usually includes pickled herring, new potatoes, strawberries and plenty of snaps.

Midsommar is deeply rooted in nature, folklore and old pagan traditions, it's considered a time for joy, love and fertility. To celebrate this holiday, we received two themed gifts: a Swedish Strawberry Cake and a Midsummer Crown.

I wonder if yesterday’s game crash was somehow related to this, as lately every freebie seems to be followed by a breakdown.

On Wednesday, it was time to return to summer vibes with a brand-new Riviera release.

The store received two new floors filled with clothes perfect for a summer vacation. There are three items available for starcoins: the Satin Bikini Top, the Silk Wrap Scarf (also available in a BP version) and the Rainbow Tied Dress.

But the item that really caught my attention was the Ice Cream Cone, I’m a big fan of whoever keeps bringing us props that dolls can hold in hand. It adds such a fun, dynamic touch to styling.

On Monday, the first release of the week was a new Wild Candy collection!

It brought two new floors to the store filled with tons of street style pieces. I must say that in the latest releases Wild Candy has become one of my favorite stores, thanks to the great starcoin prices, the quality of the items, and how easy they are to style.

From this collection, my favorite pieces are the red cargo pants and the cashmere pink crop top. But as always, I’ll be on a mission to collect starcoins to grab the whole store!

Last week on Friday, we had a Limited Edition store release, which arrived quite late due to some technical issues Stardoll was experiencing with their servers.

The store followed a winter wonderland aesthetic, which I absolutely loved. Surprisingly, the item choices for this release were beautiful, different from the free item included in the special offer.

The collection features a mix of designs inspired by brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miss Sohee, Alexander McQueen, Vetements, Vivienne Westwood and a few more. It makes me wonder if Stardoll might be planning to choose some of these for the upcoming tribute season.

As a "sorry for the delay" gift, this time they made a bag available for 5sd, just like what happened in the last Young Hollywood release.
