On March 25th, Sweden celebrates Våffeldagen, or Waffle Day the day in celebration of crispy, heart-shaped waffles topped with whipped cream and jam. Fun fact: this holiday actually started because of a linguistic mix-up! Originally, the day was called Vårfrudagen ("Our Lady's Day"), marking the Feast of the Annunciation. But over time, people mispronounced it as Våffeldagen, and waffles became the star of the show instead.
Swedish waffles are thinner and crispy and they're traditionally served with delicious toppings like whipped cream and berry jam.
And to celebrate, Stardoll gifted us a free waffle plate. Not gonna lie, I’d love to eat this in real life because it looks way too yummy.
