This Friday’s release was a new Subcouture collection, as announced yesterday. 

The collection brought three new floors to Starplaza and features a very edgy urban aesthetic, which was teased by the free item from the special offer and I really liked it. The collection, curated and illustrated by Cosimo (aka Vulacano) and Ben (aka Lanekii), includes items inspired by Versace, Balenciaga, Tom Ford, Valentino, Maison Margiela, Vetements, Dolce & Gabbana, Coperni and some others.

With this release, it’s clear they’ve listened to players by bringing more “basic” pieces, instead of the recent overload of statement items. I must say I bought almost everything in the store. Another positive point is that they released the wig in different colors, since now we can only buy one piece of each item, having a variety of wigs is helpful for those who like to decorate mannequins in their suites.

On Wednesday, it was time to return to summer vibes with a brand-new Riviera release.

The store received two new floors filled with clothes perfect for a summer vacation. There are three items available for starcoins: the Satin Bikini Top, the Silk Wrap Scarf (also available in a BP version) and the Rainbow Tied Dress.

But the item that really caught my attention was the Ice Cream Cone, I’m a big fan of whoever keeps bringing us props that dolls can hold in hand. It adds such a fun, dynamic touch to styling.

On Monday, the first release of the week was a new Wild Candy collection!

It brought two new floors to the store filled with tons of street style pieces. I must say that in the latest releases Wild Candy has become one of my favorite stores, thanks to the great starcoin prices, the quality of the items, and how easy they are to style.

From this collection, my favorite pieces are the red cargo pants and the cashmere pink crop top. But as always, I’ll be on a mission to collect starcoins to grab the whole store!

Last week on Friday, we had a Limited Edition store release, which arrived quite late due to some technical issues Stardoll was experiencing with their servers.

The store followed a winter wonderland aesthetic, which I absolutely loved. Surprisingly, the item choices for this release were beautiful, different from the free item included in the special offer.

The collection features a mix of designs inspired by brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miss Sohee, Alexander McQueen, Vetements, Vivienne Westwood and a few more. It makes me wonder if Stardoll might be planning to choose some of these for the upcoming tribute season.

As a "sorry for the delay" gift, this time they made a bag available for 5sd, just like what happened in the last Young Hollywood release.

This Wednesday we were transported back to the Y2K era with a new Vinyl release.

The two new store floors bring a strong 2000s aesthetic, full of low-rise pants, crop tops, mini skirts, and belt chains. As you might know, I love dressing my doll in this fashion era, so I really enjoyed this collection, especially the bags and, of course, the digital camera they added as an accessory. In this release we have a total of 5 items available for starcoins.

The collection was curated by Ben/Laneki, who also illustrated some of the items and shared an edit to showcase them, as you can see below. I love that he’s bringing back the old Stardoll style ads on his social medias that used to feature members in new releases.

This Monday started with a new Fallen Angel release. The store brings us a new collection full of dark  gothic pieces.

Featuring lots of leather and feathered items, the best part of the release is the wide range of accessories to choose fro, and the fact that it includes some great starcoin pieces, in my opinion the deconstructed lether skirt is the best piece from this release.
