Pearls

Pearls

The new Pearls collection was released this friday, illustrated by Ben.

The drop brings a clear preppy and vintage inspired style, with a big number of pieces being inspired by Chanel items. Matching sets, structured coats and tweed fabril stand out as the key elements of this collection.

For those looking for Starcoin options of this release, they are the black sheer tights and the purple long sleeved shirt, which are both versatile basics to add into different looks.

Overall, it feels like one of the good releases in terms of quality, with a strong and cohesive theme running through the pieces. What are your thoughts on this new Pearls collection? Do you have a favorite item?

Pearls

Pearls

This Monday, a new Pearls collection was released, adding 2 new floors to the store with 10 new mannequins.

The collection maintains the preppy/vintage style we all know and expect from it. I liked the outfits overall, most of the pieces look great, but I’m a bit disappointed that they only added 2 pairs of shoes and 2 bags to complete all the looks. At least we got some jewelry, though!

Pearls

Pearls
This Friday's release is a new Pearls collection. I'm surprised at how early they released it.

Today's release adds only two floors to the store, featuring a total of 11 outfits for female dolls, along with some separate pieces for males.

One detail that caught my attention is that several pieces are inspired by outfits worn by Princess Diana (like the denim and shoes on the third mannequin on the first floor and the sweater on the fifth mannequin on the first floor). It makes me wonder if these items were initially intended for the Royalty collection but were deemed not to fit the aesthetic, or if the illustrator has developed an interest in her iconic looks (not a complaint, just an observation). Additionally, the first mannequin on the second floor showcases a Miu Miu outfit, which was probably meant to be part of the Miu Miu tribute but wasn't ready in time.

It's a lovely collection, even though some of the pieces aren't quite my style. I'm sure other dolls will make great use of them. I'd say my favorite piece is the Viktor & Rolf shirt dress. I'm hoping for a tribute to them this season.

Pearls

Pearls
The first release of this week was Pearls. As soon as I saw it, I felt that this collection brought back the old Pearls aesthetic, which I love.

Even though it's a 2-floor release, it only has 8 looks, which is unfortunate because, in my opinion, it's one of the best collections we've had in a long time.

The Gucci set on the first mannequin on the second floor looks lovely, probably my favorite from this release, along with the Oversized Rain Coat. I wish that some of the male pieces were also available for females because they look super pretty.

Weekly Superstar Gift

Weekly Superstar Gift

This week, the superstar gift was updated with an item from the last Pearls release, the navy puffy arms top

It wasn't an item I'd imagine buying, but since it's free, I've added it to my closet, and I'm excited to see if I can use it in any outfit.

Pearls

Pearls

A new Pearls collection arrived at the Starplaza today. Initially, it was only displayed in the catalogue. 1 hour later, it was added to the window on the first page, and on the store floor (which resulted in the delay of the blog post).

Some pieces evoke the original aesthetic of the store, which I refer to as the 'Constance Billard School for Girls' aesthetic (those who watched the Gossip Girl series will understand the reference). Others seem like they might have come from the clearance rack at the Millionaire Mansion fashion store. This isn't to say they aren't attractive, but they might be better suited under a different brand's label.

In a quick look, I could choose my three favorite pieces: the micro bags set, the hip miniskirt, and the white PVC knee high boots. The cream chain handbag and the pleated black maxi skirt also look cute.

What are your thoughts on this release? Tell us which are the items you liked the most and the least from there?
