London Fashion Week S/S 24

Hello everyone!

I hope you're doing well and that NYFW has filled your brains with new ideas and got you inspired!

We continue our journey in London, where Fashion Week takes place from September 15th to September 19th.
Not with such a long history as New York Fashion Week (which we saw a few days ago), the first organized fashion shows took place in 1975. It has the name "London Fashion Week" since 1993 and hasn't gone undergone a number of name changes since, unlike New York.
Famous London designers are Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney, some of whom have since relocated their shows to Paris.
While London hasn't been along the longest, they have been the first along the "Big 4" to offer designers to live-stream their shows in 2010. If you're going to watch a live-stream, remember that shows are scheduled in London time which is UTC+0.
If you happen to be in London, immediately after fashion week, there is the London Fashion Week Festival, a more consumer-oriented 4-day fashion event that is open to the public.

Like in every fashion week city, there area a big numbers of designers who show their work, and it's hard to know them all (I don't). But you might recognize some of these bigger names:
  • Rixo, Eudon Choi, JW Anderson, Roksanda, Molly Goddard, 16Arlington, Simone Rocha, Erdem, Halpern, Emilia Wickstead, Palmer/Harding, Ashish, Burberry
Which new collections do you want to see most?

Some of my favorite outfits from the Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear collections are featured below. You can click on the images for better quality.

With London street style being a little bit less crazy than New York, there is still plenty of interesting looks to take in. With the looks I chose, we're seeing a lot of corset detailing combined with sportier or edgier elements, we're seeing chunky shoes and sneakers, and green tones with especially Kelly green having been on trend for a while and green happens to be my favorite color.
Here are some of my favorites from the FW23 London streets.

Share your favorite looks from the runways and the streets down below in the comments, shout about specific pieces or designers you want to see in future Tribute Seasons on Stardoll, and be inspired!

Don't forget to enter the New York Street Style comp :)
