Milan Fashion Week S/S 24

Ciao tutti!

As we depart London and continue our journey in Milan (or Milano in Italian), I hope you're all healthy, happy, and feeling inspired by what we saw so far!

Milan Fashion Week takes place from September 19th to September 25th.
There is a women's fashion week (the one we're looking at now, but as fashion gets more and more mixed, we're also getting some looks for the guys), and a men's fashion week, both are happening twice a year since 1958.
The first Italian fashion shows actually didn't take place in Milan, but started in Florence in 1951. These shows taking the name "Pitti Imagine" in 1952, they were the biggest European fashion happening during the 1950s. With designers eventually leaving for Milan and new designers popping up, Milan became the centrum of Italian fashion in the late 1970s.
Some designers emerging in the 1970s include Giorgio Armani, Versace, Gianfranco Ferré, Laura Biagiotti, Roberto Cavalli, Iceberg, and Byblos. Brands like Gucci and Fendi started launching clothing, having formerly done only bags and other leather goods.
In the early 1980s, brands like Alberta Ferretti, Luciano Soprani, Enrico Coverani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Moschino sprung into existence, with Prada following in 1988.

Italian fashion is known for its extravagant elegance, exquisite leather goods, and being rather Italian (remember the Dolce & Gabbana spaghetti dress that we also got in Tribute Season a few years ago?).
If you're going to watch any shows live, Milan is located in UTC+1. The schedule is available here and here (I recommend the latter). Milan has more live shows than the previous two cities, so take advantage of it!

Milan has lots of the big names, many of which have already been featured in our game before (highlighted in cursive). You might recognize quite a few of these (and I have already shortened the list):
  • Iceberg, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Alberta Ferretti, N°21, Roberto Cavalli, Etro, Diesel, Max Mara, Prada, Mm6 Maison Margiela, Emporio Armani, Moschino, Blumarine, Dsquared2, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, Sportmax, Gucci, MSGM, VersaceDolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Missoni, Bottega Veneta
Which new collections do you want to see most?

Some of my favorite outfits from the Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear collections are featured below. You can click on the images for better quality.

(I'm not sharing street style this time, as I'm very busy preparing for exams and didn't have time to compile street style as well.)

Share your favorite looks from the runways and the streets down below in the comments, shout about specific pieces or designers you want to see in future Tribute Seasons on Stardoll, and be inspired!

Don't forget to enter the New York Street Style comp until the 21st :)

There will also be a comp for Milan coming up, prepare to look at the new collections from your favorite designers!
