"All That Glitters" is the theme of Callie's Picks nº 152, released on this wednesday (28) to close february with a golden, or better, glittery key.
It's more of a metallic collection than glittery itself, but anyways... It brings 3 new floors of old items and some newer ones, of course, that are still in Starplaza under their original tags.
Here's a list of some doubles I could spot: Metallic Top (Wild Candy), Golden Party Top (PopShop), Holographic Bodysuit (Original Future) are all the same price in both stores. HotBuys Vinyl Couture Boots neon silver are cheaper if you buy them at It Girls. In the case of the Sequin Silver Top (Rio Chicas) and Zuhair Murad Tribute Purse, they're a bit cheaper in CP. If you could find any others, please let us know in the comments.
A friendly advice I can give is: stay away from the Liquid Metallic Trousers; it can crash your room, wardrobe, and bazaar when it's available for sale. I was a happier person when I got rid of the ones I owned.

Apparently, today's release is a plaza window containing all 5 tributes from this season, which probably means it's the 'last chance to buy' warning.
Have you bought everything you wanted from these collections? Or were you waiting for this last chance to run and get your favorite pieces? I guess now it's time to get those items before they are removed and then resold for expensive in bazaar sales.

After some hours of maintenance, this Friday was time for a new Mr. release. From what I read, it was released very early, but I was doing some stuff and only had time to check on it now.
I immediately recognized the 1st outfit from the main window as the one they announced as part of the Y/Project tribute, but it turns out that this look was from Dsquared2. I'm very happy that this could see the light of the day because I liked a lot the fur hat and the sweater (which I checked and fits for the female dolls body type). The look in the middle also is familiar to me, as I remember seeing a pic on twitter of Pedro Pascal wearing it on a red carpet (?), but can't remember in which event.
The collection has 4 items in starcoins, and some of the top pieces fit for female dolls as well. For example, the gray hoodie and silver jacket on the last floor, and the green sweater also fits, but not perfectly, in the hands.
I liked a lot this Mr. release, but I guess you might have noticed as I've tried most of the pieces on my doll to see if I could make use of them.

One more piece of the Epiphany x Valentino Zodiac Jewelry has arrived in Starplaza today, this time featuring the Pisces emblem.
Pisces season started on 19/02, which was Monday, but as this Epiphany release is always on Wednesday, we got it two days later. And it goes until 20/03 when we probably will have the Aries one.

The week in Stardoll started with a new jewelry collection from Splendid. And for me it started without power, that's why I'm only posting this on Tuesday.
There's a total of 23 new items, all having versions for the suite and beauty parlor. Some of them look interesting, and the fact that they're for suite makes it even better to include in a look.
Two items (a necklace and a headband) are for starcoins, and all the rest are for stardollars. I must say I thought some of the prices are a little expensive for the items, while others are okay. By this, I mean paying 9sd for a pair of earrings is okay, but 13sd for a necklace is a bit expensive.

It really seems that carnival isn't over yet for the Stardoll crew, as there's another themed competition, the diary contest.
In this one, you have to answer these 3 questions in text form:

Carnival has ended, but the person responsible for the contests schedule had to release this delayed one to match with the Rio Chicas release. I guess we all agree that they had to be more accurate with the releases matching the celebrations... But, after some adding and removals from them, the Carnival 2024 Photo Contest was officially released.
To take part in this, you only need to send a photo wearing one of the pieces released in the latest Rio Chicas collection, the submition is in the contest page (if you don't care for the final stardollars prize, you can send any random photo).
The prize for everyone who enters is these 3 pairs of shoes:
Both female pairs are currently available for purchase in Starplaza. The white one is from Active, and the pink one is from Evil Panda. I'm not sure, but I think the male shoes were from Antidote.
Today's release is a small and not impressive Rio Chicas collection.
The only piece I got from this was the Lily Pad Top, not because I liked it but because I had some starcoins to spare.
I really don't have much to say about this collection, but I bet someone out there will like and make good use of these items.

I saw some days ago that there was a new contest in the 'news' section in Stardoll but only had time to check it now... It's a carnival-themed quiz, where the ones who answer all the questions will have a chance to get stardollars.

For Valentine's Day, Stardoll prepared a new release for the Cupid Gift Shop (which I only noticed now that it's called Valentine's Day, but we still can see the old shop name in the interior).
Most of the items are pink and red colors, with flowers and hearts patterns, to be accordingly with the occasion. The outfit that really got me was the "splatter" one, inspired by Robert Wun SS24 Couture. I just wish that they could have released it earlier for those who like to decorate their suites for V-Day (ut at least this saved us from another Callie's Picks flopped collection).

The 5th, and probably last, tribute of this season is inspired by Bottega Veneta. It's the first time we have this tribute in Stardoll. Even though I don't like this collection, It's good to have different stores for tribute season instead of the same ones all the time.
Following the standard of the previous tributes, this one also has 3 floors and some pieces for starcoins (a pair of shoes and a pair of silver earrings). I think it's my least favorite tribute of the season, as the pieces aren't very versatile in my opinion.

Hello, hello, dolls! Now, I've decided that our Stardoll Dresser Games will take place in the 1st weeked (after the release of OotM, as it's the prize of this competition) of the month, not in the last one like in our past editions.
This time I've brought up another word search where you can find more 19 names of stores that are or were available in Starplaza at some point. But to make it easy to find the stores, the word list is located below the letter grid.
Another hint is that the words are arranged only horizontally and vertically, but some of them are backward. After finding all the stores, post the answers in the comments. You must save the image and use an editor to circle or highlight the names. The first commenter who finds all the words right will win one of the February OotM.

As speculated yesterday, this Friday's release was a Young Hollywood collection inspired by the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The store got only 2 new floors, one male look, and two pairs of shoes for all the female dolls' outfits. I was, for sure, expecting to see a larger collection, so I'm a bit disappointed with it (and with the fact that they haven't included the Bob Mackie dress that Miley wore to perform).
My favorite look from this YH is the one inspired by Beyoncé. I wish someone designed a wig inspired by her hair to match with the look. The first ones to sell out were Taylor and Miley's brown dress, followed by Beyoncé's shirt and skirt (some copies of the rest of her outfit are still available).

It's not been a month since the last Young Hollywood collection, but it seems like we're having another one tomorrow. Today, we got a doll mail announcing that there's currently a top-up offer for 50% Stardollars in selected packages.
I'd say that probably the collection will contain some looks from Grammy. Which looks are you expecting to see? I'm dying to see this Miley's looks, especially this one:
Please note that there's a footnote in the ad saying that the selected packages for the top up offer don't include the special offer item from the Y/Project tribute (aka pregnant belly dress).

First Wednesday of February means it's time for the OotM reveal, and today it was released very early, which surprised me a lot, considering the time Stardoll has been adding new collections to the plaza recently.
Again we have mainly dark color pieces. Vulcano and Lulih really missed the timing to pick something more appropriate for Valentine's Day or Carnival and chose more colorful inspirations. The responsible dolls for the curation are Proenza and Limonperi123 (yes, you recognize this name from the November 23 OotM).
Considering both looks, the one by Proenza is my favorite, even though I haven't bought the main pieces. I got the accessories and might get the jacket as well. From the Limonperi123 look, I only got the bag and earrings. I'm not a big fan of the dress; it's well done, but I don't see myself styling it in any way.

Forgot to about the SS weekly gift last week, sorry!
But now I've remembered about it again, and it has already been updated. This week, the free item is the Armani bag from the last It Girls collection. If you liked this item and haven't bought it yet, go to the superstar page to claim yours for free.
The third tribute store is inspired by Y/Project. I liked a lot the two previous Y/Project Tribute collections, so I was very excited to see what they could bring us for this new one.
The collection is mainly inspired by the Y/Project FW23 collection. I don't like the idea of pantashoes, - and we already had lots of these -, but if picking one, they had more interesting (and wearable) options in the collection than the one displayed on the 4th mannequin in the 1st floor.
So far, it's the tribute with the most male items, with 4 outfits in total. We also have 3 items in starcoins, all jewelry as expected. They are: the pink rose necklace and the matching earring, and the metal rose necklace (matching earrings are for sd); they're all on the 2nd floor and both version, bp and suite, are available.
The top up special offer item is a dress, you can get it by buying any superstar or stardollars pack.

This time, the late Friday (or early Sunday release, depending on your timezone) was It Girls. It hasn't been long since we got a release under this store, and we just got another one...
At least, in my opinion, this collection has some better items than the last one. We can say that some 'It Girl' would wear one of these pieces. I'm just confused with the pink skirt recently released on Margiela Tribute being re-released here. Stardoll was never so quick in re-releasing an item like this time.
