Trails

As soon as I opened the Starplaza today to check the new release, I had this strange feeling that I've seen this window before...

Apparently, I wasn't 100% wrong as the middle outfit was already released in a previous Trails collection (not the same illustration, but an "updated" version of it).

But anyway... this curiosity aside, today's release came with 2 new floors. All looks contain the same color palette as most of the Trails releases and maintain this boho chic aesthetic.

Another thing I noticed while writing is that the first outfit on the first floor also was release before. There's a version of It that's from Runaway and looks more detalhes than this one.

I was surprised by today's release arriving so early. The Stardoll Feat. brings a new collection that seems to be a continuation of the last one, named Burlesque (or perhaps they changed the name and logo of the store but forgot to update the tag, who knows?).

By the names of the pieces, I presume the looks are inspired by drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race, I'd say. I'm not entirely sure since I don't follow the show, so please correct me if I'm wrong. The only looks I can say for sure were the inspirations from are the Dita Von Teese pink space cowboy outfit on the 1st floor and the middle outfit from the 2nd floor, which is inspired by the movie Moulin Rouge (2001).

I liked the collection a lot, and the prices as well. There are 3 items in starcoins, and the ones in stardollars vary from 8-18sd, which is an acceptable price compared to the latest releases that are very expensive (like the Celeb Fit released on Wednesday with a non-limited skirt priced at 32sd).

Celeb Fit

Apparently, we have a new store release today called Celeb Fit. Based on the name, it seems they will bring celebrity-inspired outfits to the game. According to Stardoll in a recent note they shared on StarBlog, regarding the new brand:

Celeb Fit will be a recurring window that showcases the latest and greatest outfits your favorite celebrities have been wearing.

We love bringing you the best red carpet looks with brands like Young Hollywood, and we are thrilled to add the Celeb Fit window to bring you the streetwear and more casual styles that the top celebrities are wearing.

For the debut of the brand, the store window presents outfits from Zendaya, Sabrina Carpenter, and Barry Keoghan.

All outfits were worn by them during this month. So, I think the concept of the store will be bringing only recent outfits, not old ones. The look worn by Zendaya was seen at the "Challengers" movie photocall in Rome. For Sabrina, the chosen look was from her presentation at the Coachella festival, and Barry's outfit was also from Coachella. You can check the rlv below:

Spectacular

Today's release is a new spectacular collection, but despite the brand name, there's nothing particularly spectacular about it. I'm already tired of so many beauty releases. Please, Stardoll, give me more clothes and decor.

The glasses models look cute and well-made, but I'm just not excited about having a beauty release every week. However, that doesn't mean I won't be buying any of them. I really like using glasses to complete my outfits, so I'll probably get one or two, especially the ones for sc.

Met Gala 2024 Competition

The Met Gala 2024 is scheduled for May 6th, and this year's theme is "Sleeping Beauty: The Reawakening Fashion". At first, the theme may remind us of Sleeping Beauty, but it's actually inspired by an exhibit that will showcase pieces that have been stored, or 'sleeping', for years and cannot be used again due to their extreme fragility. These pieces will 'awaken' for this year's exhibition at The Met museum. All 250 pieces that will compose the exhibition are the property of The Costume Institute and will include works from designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, and other important figures in fashion history.

For the red carpet, the co-hosts, along with Anna Wintour, will be Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth and Zendaya. The dress code theme is "The Garden of Time", so we can expect to see lots of florals and timeless fashion choices on the red carpet.

For this competition, you'll need to create a look that you would wear for this year's Met Gala red carpet. The dress code, as informed above, is "The Garden of Time", so be sure to consider that when putting together your outfit. However, feel free to interpret the theme creatively to show your unique style!

Hello, hello, dolls! Welcome to the 6th edition of the Stardoll Dresser Games. I almost forgot again to host this month's edition, so sorry for that once more. But I'm glad I remembered before the end of the month, and I was able to put it together.

I present to you the game for April: it's a word scramble. You have to unscramble the following words in order to find Stardoll brands. Some may still be available in the Plaza, while others are old brands that we can only find in the Bazaar. Some of them may be hidden there as well, but nothing you can't find, as I'm sure you might have seen the items from them around here sometime.

After unscrambling all the stores, post the answers in the comments. The first commenter who finds all the words right will win one of the April OotM.

Basics Decor

For all those requesting bathroom items, congrats! Today's release is a new Basics Decor bathroom themed. It's like having our own Sims 4 Bathroom Clutter Kit for Stardoll!

The collection adds 4 new floors to the store, with each floor containing items in one color (green, pink, blue, and yellow), along with a white variation of toilet, bathroom stools, and makeup vanity sets available on the blue floor. Can't forget to mention the matching robe available in each color variation, which is available for both female and male dolls.

Another attractive aspect of this release, besides the cute items, is the pricing, which is significantly cheaper compared to previous releases.

Epiphany x Valentino Zodiac Jewellery

The 7th Zodiac Valentino inspired sign just arrived this Wednesday at Starplaza. This time it's for the Taurus babes, or p!mps given the size of the necklace pendant when worn in the doll.

Just like all the previous releases of this project, the necklace and earrings come in three different colors, each with suite and BP versions.

Taurus season officially starts on April 20th, but it was released a few days earlier as they're usually released on Wednesday. It ends on May 20th, but it will probably stay on the Plaza until the 22nd when the next zodiac sign will be released.

Running out of items that fit aesthetically with the brands they own created, this Monday, Stardoll released a new Bonjour Bizou collection that has the same concept as The JetSet: feature outfits worn by celebs. They may not have had time to complete some of the looks for release on The JetSet and decided to release the ones they had in a "random" store, who knows?

The Sydney Sweeney black leather romper was an intriguing choice, as the person who illustrated it based it on her picture wearing it, so it clearly have her b00bs size, and it looked really funny when I tried it on the doll.

As known since the middle of the week, this Friday's release was Antidote. The surprise was it being released super early, which was good for those who always stop everything they're doing to wait for the collection (and bad for me, who was sleeping when the store dropped).

At first sight, I wasn't even mad to miss it. To be honest, the only piece I really liked was the Hello Kitty bra from GCDS, which sadly I missed.

The collection brings items inspired by Mugler, GCDS, Balmain, Balenciaga, and some others.

"On Wednesday, we wear tattoos," as today's release is a new Ink'd collection.

Apparently, the time where they released tattoos for BP is gone, as in the latest collections, including this one, there are only tattoos that you can wear in suites. We have 20 new tattoo models, 8 of them are available for male and female body types, as they're made to wear on arms/neck/legs, while the others are unisex.

Not sure if it's the same, but something tells me that the roses tattoo was already released in one of the first Ink'd collections.

Pearls

The first release of this week was Pearls. As soon as I saw it, I felt that this collection brought back the old Pearls aesthetic, which I love.

Even though it's a 2-floor release, it only has 8 looks, which is unfortunate because, in my opinion, it's one of the best collections we've had in a long time.

The Gucci set on the first mannequin on the second floor looks lovely, probably my favorite from this release, along with the Oversized Rain Coat. I wish that some of the male pieces were also available for females because they look super pretty.

Epiphany

Stardoll used to not care much about the beauty/jewelry releases, but now I think they're coming very frequently. I'm not sure if it's a good thing. I really like some jewelry, as they make all the difference in an outfit, but I guess I like it the most when they are included in a fashion release.

Anyways... Today's release, as mentioned above, is a jewelry collection and it came under the Epiphany tag.

The collection has two new windows, and all the jewelry models come in Suite and BP versions. And I do like that they have included color choices for some pieces as well.
