Last friday, a new The JetSet collection was add in Starplaza, featuring 9 new outfits spread across 2 floors. All the looks are designed for females, which unfortunately is not surprising, as Stardoll often overlooks options for male dolls.

On the 1st floor, you can spot some dresses that were worn by Kylie Jenner on the 4th mannequin and Selena Gomez on the 5th, she wore the dress at her 31st birthday party, and it looks like a shorter version of the red dress she wore at the VMA's and which was released in the last Young Hollywood. On the 3rd mannequin, my favorite on this floor, you'll find the Shushu Tong dress that Shay Mitchell wore to the Barbie movie pink carpet premiere, proving that Stardoll isn't done competing with Barbie just yet.

Talking about Barbie, they've included dresses that Margot Robbie wore wore while doing the press tour (1st in secon floor - a Vivienne Westwood look inspired by Barbie "Enchanted Evening" - and 2nd in first floor - a Versace mini dress from the '94 ready-to-wear collection). Interestingly, these dress weren't initially released in Other World for Callie Con but I'm happy they released it one way or another. I just wish they had separated the white fur (?) from the dress.

I'm really enjoying this not-so-new concept that they've chosen for The JetSet, bringing clothes that were worn by celebrities into a non-limited store. Even though it's only available for superstars, it's more affordable and easier to buy than Young Hollywood, for example. 

Now that Milan Fashion Week is over, we have seen some great collections. With seeing new fashion, it is not only fun to watch, but also fun to get inspired and to recreate! So, without further ado, here is the comp:

Today, the release is Epiphany. Vulcano worked hard - and fast - on this one, as he had asked for jewelry ideas on Facebook last week.

The collection has 2 new windows showcasing some necklaces and earrings, inspired by Schiaparelli, Monies jewelry and others. There's also a lip and an eyeshadow, but I haven't liked them. Everything has both beauty parlor and suite versions.

My favorite items are the pearl necklaces; I will probably buy them sometime soon when I feel inspired to create a gala or fancy outfit.

Callie Con isn't officially over yet, as the promised AMA questions haven't been answered in the Starblog yet, but the themed releases unfortunately came to an end today as we got a new Original Future release.

It's a very small collection, containing only 16 pieces. For some reason, I'd say these items might be leftovers from a previous addition to the store, as they fit well in the store's showroom, as we can see below. The only thing that caught my eye is the 8-bit hoodie, as I found it a very interesting piece when I first saw the Loewe SS23 collection.

In general I think it's a 'meh' release, as it's just a gap filler... But I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, have you liked or bought any piece from this new OF?

Bienvenue à Paris!

Leaving La bella Italia, we arrive at the last stop of fashion month, Paris. Widely known as the city of love, there will hopefully be lots to love about the fresh collections we are about to see. 

Callie Con is coming to an end, but there are still some contests and freebies to get. Since I saw some people debating and questioning the veracity of the options presented in the quiz about Barbie, I decided to bring the correct answers here on the blog.

Some notes about the answers:

• In the 3rd question, we already had a pirate Barbie inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, but is being a pirate considered a profession? I think not. Moreover, the doll wasn't Barbie herself; it was the movie character Angelica.

• In the 4th question, everyone knows Barbie's Dream House is located in Malibu, name of a real town. Asking about which fictional town she lives in might be a trick, as none of the other options are officially related to Barbie.

• In the 5th question, everyone was expecting the answer to be Chelsea. Apparently, no one knew or remembered the iconic Kelly, who made appearances in some of Barbie's early 2000s movies.

For Callie's Picks No. 150 on Stardoll, in the Callie Con theme, we have prepared a special Barbie-themed collection.

The first Callie Con activity is already live! For this Stardoll Next Top Hair Artist competition, you have to create a hair design inspired by the one and only Barbie doll. 

The rules for this competition are simple: you must create the hair design yourself. Asking someone else to make it for you on your account is not allowed, and such actions may result in your account being deleted, as stated clearly on the competition page. But, knowing Stardoll, they might not even check it, as last year, one of the SNTHA winners paid someone to create the hair in his account and still won.

You have until September 22nd to submit your entry, and the selected designs will win Stardollars and the Dream of Design Achievement, as shown above.

If you, like me, don't know anything about designing and are in denial in this area, you can still submit something just to have a chance at winning the free gifts. For example, I created a crazy hair design inspired by Weird Barbie and sent it. Do I expect to win anything? No, but at least I received the body shadings and the front part of the Barbie box!

Starting with the Callie Con release today, Other World has transformed into Barbie World  with a new collection. It features two floors and includes outfits from Barbie movie, as well as the black gala dress worn by Margot Robbie on the pink carpet.

You can also have Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) as pals in your collection, and the pink road is available for sale as an interior. The jewelry comes in both BP and suite versions, but the wigs are only available for BP. I wish they had included a suite version for the wigs as well.

I'm completely obsessed with the whole collection, even with the creepy dolls. I'll buy everything immediately! How are you all feeling about this pink craziness that has taken over Stardoll?

It may seem improbable, but the Stardoll team works on weekends, and they surprised us on Sunday (17) with a CallieCon banner in theyr official Instagram page. 

Some time after, the 6th edition of Callie Con has been, officialy, announced and the theme was revealed. This year, Callie Con promises to be the most glamorous and exciting one yet. It's themed around everyone's favorite fashion icon and doll, Barbie! Get ready to dive into a world of pink and glitter.

During this week, we'll be releasing some new items, starting with a brand new Otherworld collection inspired by Barbie. I really hope they can include Barbie and Ken dolls/pals in the collection! And, maybe, an Allan as well (?). Following it, we'll also have some competitions,  SNATHA and photo contests, you can check all the shedule below:
